Dr Lau Chee Chong at Mount Elizabeth Centre treats both adults and children. His practice covers all areas -- diagnostic, surgical and medical -- of ENT, head and neck practice. The clinic is well-equipped for almost all ENT procedures to be done in-clinic, including NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) video rhinolaryngoscopy, which gives very clear images and is particularly effective in identifying early-stage nose, head and neck cancers.

Dr Lau has had extensive medical experience in both governmental and private medical practice, and in the Singapore Armed Forces (he holds the rank of Captain (Reservist)). He also worked in the United Kingdom, for the following hospitals:

Dr Lau has been a consultant ENT Specialist in private practice for 18 years. He previously worked at Singapore General Hospital. He has surgical and visiting rights to all the private hospitals in Singapore

In addition to being a medical expert and specialist (ENT) appointed to the Subordinate Courts’ Medical Expert Panel. Dr Lau has served on many boards and panels of various embassies, legal bodies, associations and societies.

Dr Lau is also a seasoned speaker on ENT topics, having given lectures in Singapore, Australia, India and Malaysia. In 2002, he was the Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker at the conference of the Society of Otorhinolaryngologists of Southern India (attended by over 400 ENT surgeons). Dr Lau lectured on the management of paediatric snoring and sleep disorders and endoscopic management of severe epistaxis. Dr Lau also demonstrated surgical technique for temporal bone surgery.

Dr Lau’s practice covers all areas – diagnostic, surgical and medical – of ENT, head and neck practice. However, he has particularly strong interest and expertise in the areas of:

• Paediatric ENT (children)
• Treatments for snoring, sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing (in adults and children)
• Endoscopic sinus surgery with and without the Image - Guided (Navigational) System
• Cochlear implants
• Otology and middle ear surgery
• Identification and treatment of head and neck cancers

Dr Lau has a warm and friendly team of trained nurses and assistants. At the clinic, the following languages are spoken: English, Mandarin, Chinese dialects (Hokkien, Cantonese and Teochew), Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu and medical Japanese.

Dr Lau also enjoys scuba diving, tennis, fencing, shotgun shooting, wildlife and cooking.
